blog post: Almost a ' Hit 'n' Run ' !..

Just another reason why I do not like Melbourne (Fla.) My Brother and  his Son and I were sitting in traffic waiting to turn into the Taco Bell, when out of nowhere this car goes speeding along side of us on the right side!..There is a little bike lane between us and the curb, so the person had like 3 or 4 feet, but the car was still jumping the curbs!..There were I guess 3 or 4 unmarked police cars!...They finely got'em about a mile down, in the Mall...Later as we were going through the drive thru lane of Taco Bell, we saw an Ambulance heading that way, then later we drove to  Steak'n'Shake to get some milk shakes and across the street (192) at the Mall in front of Dick's Sporting Goods that's where it all came to a stop, there were the Ambulance, Fire Truck and Police!...Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention there were helicopters too!..

blog post Fall and buying and seeling houses

A few months ago our Landlord sold the house we are in, it's fine because the house is still in there Fam.The new owner wanted some remodeling done, so that's what my Brother and his Son are doing...First they started by cutting and pulling all the bushes from around the house, (and trimming the trees too) then they painted the outside as well as the inside, now they're gonne put new hardwood floor down through out the entire house...(just gotta pull up the old carpet, break up some tile and get the mirrors of the walls)  The house should look nice when it's all finished!...
 The owners just sold the house right next to us, didn't take them long either, probably about a month !...There renters moved out last July...So they started slowly coming in, fixing it up...I think they thought maybe they'd rent it out again but somewhere along the line the decided to sell!...
 A few days ago, I was sitting here in my room, looking out the window at all the leaves falling...Now to the people who do read my blog, I'm sure you know I don't care for it here, because it's like green all year around down here!!...(except for the 3 or 4 leaves that actually do turn color) Now then where was I ?.. oh yea. sitting looking out my window, watching the leaves fall, (yes, there were even some yellow ones) and I thought well it's February, it's like the middle of Winter and I'm watching leaves fall !..I seen February  2nd,that the groundhog did see his shadow, that means 6 more weeks of Winter!...(don't mean 'SQUAT' down here)

Yesterday I went out to 'Camp Holly' ,it's a kittle bait'n'tackle shop off of 192 in Melbourne on the 'St.Johns River'!...They have Air Boat rides, they're open 7 days a week, there's picnic tables both outside and inside,  but the cook is only there on Sat. and Sun...They do allow you to eat your own food as long as you get a coke or something, or you can just get a candy bar or something...Anyway I went there yesterday, just myself, stopped at Burger King, got myself a couple whopper jrs.and some fries and got a coke there and had me a little lunch out...It was kinda nice getting away, 80 degrees, slight breeze (ok slight gail) it was 80 degrees, wasn't gonna pass it up!...

Well, a lot of stuff happened in 2016...It all started with the car battery, Now that I look back on it, that wasn't so bad, every time the car didn't start right away, I'd just tap the terminals afew times and that would do the trick, that lasted a good 3 or 4 months, (think that all started in maybe Oct./ Nov.2015)  of course that's just the tip of the ice burg!..In Feb. of  '16 my Mom had an attack 'Congestive Heart Failure', wasn't in the hospital maybe a month or so, then moved to a Rehab.Hosp.in there for about a month, now she's back doing good, started out in the wheel chair and doing therapy then walker now a cane!...We go for walks around our 'cul de sak '  at least a few times in the evening, my Bro. got one of those walkers with a seat......(didn't have a 'cupholder' so I put a cupholder on it) My Bro. bought us a secondhand car, that was back in  Jan. but had a problem with the license tag, we went through 4 temporary tags before we got what we needed..(tag and registration) was startin to think it was all a curse or somtin!!...Things have been slowly getting back to normal though....

I can remember  Christmas when I woke-up and seen a 'ping pong table' sitting right there in the living room!.. Then one Christmas I had a '10 speed bike' not to mention all the gifts on the floor!!...Every Christmas Eve,my Dad would take us all out around the  neighborhood to see all the lights!..One year we went out,and I was in the back seat with my dog and cat,well the cat with it's 9 lives I guess felt like walking AROUND the out-side of the car, going out the back window around in the front,never missing a step!...Well,the dog seen this and must've thought well, "I can do this" so then he tried it to,well he got both front paws on the door up by the car door-lock and the back two on the arm rest, wellll, in short, we had to stop the car,so I could open-up and let him get back in!!...(oh yes, the car was moving,we were probably going like 10mph)

It's Thanksgiving,that time of year when Family and friends get together to watch the 'Thanksgiving Day Parade'then sit down to a turkey dinner or ham or whatever it may be!...Having Thanksgiving in the south is alittle different than having Thanksgiving up north (and when I say south I mean Florida and when I say north I mean anywhere that's north of Florida!!...)First , Turkey day in Fl.(or in the south) is warm,not hot,not cold but warm and all the leaves on the trees are green (except for the 2 or 3 that are yellow!..)Now Thanksgiving up north is, more fitting I think...First, it's cool, not hot not cold but comfortable (cool), either the leaves are turning all different colors or they are falling...Some people just choose to get up at 4 or  5 in the morning and start cooking turkey, and others may choose to go and eat out (Golden Coral , Denny's , Applebees)...However and wherever you have it, try and make it a good one!!...

Every Halloween, we really don't have anybody come around, I suppose that's cause we don't live in a neighborhood that's inhabited  by kids!..(which is fine by me) Now when I was a kid myself, maybe 9-10 and into my early teens, I did my share of trick-or-treating...I would go out with Fam. or neighbors...One night, a friend  of my neighbor (all 3 of us went to the same school) made a Haunted House in the lot along side his house...So we both took the  walk through, through the cobwebs, around the piles of rabbit droppings (he had afew rabbits) and just as we were about to exit the haunted house, this guy jumps out from behind some bushes, scared the $@!T out of both of us, before I even did anything, I gave'em a swift backhand !!...I remember later in years, ohh 17-18 I guess, I through, like 50 lb. test fishing line, up over a branch, tie a ghost on the end, then pull it up, then whoever would stop under it (most of the time, it was a parent) I'd lower it right next to them !!...(ahhh, what ever happened to those days)
